Post Op - Day 3 & 4

Yesterday Zeus' incision was leaking watery blood and so I phoned the vet and they said to bring him in so they could have a look. So I loaded him up and off to the vet. The vet there said that with the seroma on his ankle it might be coming through his incision because he's so muscular. So she wrapped his leg up and asked me to come in the next day.

So today I took Zeus in and they removed the wrap, she said that he doesn't need it and suggested that I do warm and cold compresses 2-3 times a day for 5 minutes.

Day 4

Zeus is putting a little more weight on that leg and I've been doing the 5 minutes very slow walks. Most of which is in our yard when he's out going potty, and then I walks him very slowly about 2 house lengths.

He's still doing really well, he howls a few times a day because he wants out of his crate, but other then that he's content with being in there and chewing his marrow bones or rope toys.

Also, I a friend of mine warned me about giving Zeus the amount of supplements I was planning on giving him. Especially the Vitamin C amounts. So I'm going to be keeping the dosage at the amount I have been giving him for months which is:

MSM - 2000mg
Glucosamine - 3000mg
Digestive Enzymes - 4000mg
L-Lycine - 120mg
DL-Methionine - 120mg
Glycine - 2000mg
Vitamin C - 400mg
Vitamin A - 800IU x 2
